Social Club Report

From:

Margaret Glassenbury - Manager

*****************************************************

Our “Medieval Night” was a great success despite the disappointment of only 75 Club members attending. We all enjoyed ourselves but it is not worth us “Social Club Committee” putting on entertainment nights if we are not going to be supported. It is mainly the same members attending these functions, over and over again, it's your Club too .

A special thanks to Bob Daw and David Norman for making our stocks and also Les Herring for our two black cats.

A special thanks too, to Leo Hansen, for making our hall and stage decorations, Castle , Dungeon etc. Well done Leo.

Neil Charman, Harry Walsh and Ron McGrath disobeyed the King and Queens rules, and were put in the Stocks and Ron went to the Guillotine.

A Special thanks to my Committee and Aase Bentzen for their help and to Ethel Bray who made the “Poor Man's Pudding“. Thanks also to Judith and Ralph behind the Bar, well done.

Our next functions are “The Kids Xmas Party” then February we will have a “Fifties and Sixties Night” Then the next one will be “Clover Cottage Night“.
