Junior Development Squad

The Berwick Bowling club is keen to develop a team for the "Junior Development Squad" which is run by the Royal Victorian Bowls Association (RVBA).
This competition is for school aged children/teenagers up to 18 years of age.
The club is very keen to start a team called the "SOUTH EAST EAGLES" made up of children/teenagers from local schools in the area. The aim is for a district based high quality competition played on Saturday mornings at various clubs around Melbourne. A playing uniform would be provided free of charge to the children competing.
Children and teenagers of all ages are very welcome to come along initially to the club on Saturday mornings to try bowls and see how things go.
This is a "No charge coaching" opportunity with the clubs head coach LES HERRING.
Training from 9.30 AM till 11.30 AM every Saturday morning.
Since 2005, Les has conducted training sessions and competitions for the local schools where over 3,000 students and 500 disability kids have come along for fun times and thoroughly enjoyed themselves. Les is keen to develop further training sessions and school house competitions for all local schools.

Les has a "Working with Children Check" and is very keen to make the children feel right at home and to enjoy bowls. Parents and teachers are most welcome to also attend.
