Eastern Ranges Bowls Region
Champion of Champions
On a very hot Sunday 3rd February our Club Champions Jean Fothergill and Peter Hodgson represented Berwick in the Champion of Champion Singles events.
Unfortunately both Jean and Peter were not able to win their matches, but still, it was a great effort in even qualifying for this event and our congratulations on their achievement.
Women’s Only Post Pennant Tournament
Expressions of Interest are now being invited from the women members of our Club to an invitation to participate in a Women’s Only Post Pennant 2 Bowls Triples event.
It will be played on Thursdays, starting 10.00am on the 11th April and over 5 weeks culminating in a Final on 16th May 2019.
Women members should lodge their expression of interest on the NOTICE on the ERBR Notice board at the Club.
A separate email Notice has been issued regarding this event. We ask all members to ensure that it is brought to the attention of women members who might have missed the emails and personalized advice’s have been left in the mail box for those women who do have not provided the club with email contact details. Any enquiries please contact Jeff Janetzki.
Men’s Handicap Singles
The FINAL of this event will be conducted next Thurdsday 14th February with a game between Bob Gladman and Morry Jones. The game will commence at 5.00pm and we wish Bob and Morry all the best in this Final (14th February).

Men’s and Women’s Proportional 100 up
Round 1 matches were completed early on Sunday 3rd February to beat the heat.
With the weather not getting any cooler, the 2nd Round matches were deferred and we thank all players for their co-operation in the conduct of this event.
Round 2 matches will now be played by arrangement between the opponents and this is to be completed before the next scheduled round Sunday 17th February.

Open Novice Singles
Entry forms available shortly. Eligible players will be contacted over the next week. To be played as a Round Robin event on Sunday 24th March

Entries are now being taken for the OPEN PAIRS to be conducted Saturday 13th April 2019.

Again we encourage members to obtain some copies of the Entry forms from Allen and distribute them to players from other clubs, particularly on Pennant days. You can help make this a great day for Berwick Bowling Club and this is just one way that you can contribute without any real effort.
1st and 3rd Sundays of each month from 10.00am,
Every Thursday from 12.30pm
Personal coaching sessions can be arranged with individual coaches.
We are currently reviewing the session times that are available, particularly Sunday morning, and if anyone has any comments about the session times and coaching availability, please see Jeff Janetzki or John Lillie.
Mid Week pennant – Round 15 Tuesday 5th February, Round 16 Tuesday 12th February
Saturday Pennant – Round 15, Saturday 9th February. Also: Bankers on the day.
This gets underway on Monday 4th February at 6.00pm. and continues over the next 3 Mondays.
